WATER CENTER LAMIA GREECE

The steel structure takes the shape of an inclined cross dome with curved edges. The sculptural form of the central cross apex with the prismatic glass that diffuses the sunlight creates an ecstatic ever moving dance of sunrays. The roof suspends from four pillars under which are the entrances. Ιn this way the whole interior space has a clean uninterrupted view. Laminated glass with thermo insulating and sun repelling properties is used in the vertical exterior glass walls of 500 m2 each. At the entrance of the establishment Mr. Christie created its sculptural symbol. This is a composition of two inox athletes who dive dynamically into a double fountain.
